You guys seem to be missing my point. Its not necessarily about what was said (like cj said, he trends to be special needs at times) and ezz had already announced in another thread he says things to me to get a reaction.

My point is, you don't go to another table, especially in team play, to ridicule people to fuck with their minds to get a reaction. I'm trying to play heads up, I don't need someone else's rude and uncalled for comments distracting me. Its called common courtesy, something a lot of people here seem to lack. You want to rail your teammates, I think that's great. But why try to belittle others at the table in the process.

You guys only saw one hand of his chatter. He went on and on for like...ever, about pointless shit while we were trying to play heads up. Hello??? We are trying to play poker, not make small talk. That's what IM is for.

Show a little bit of respect is all I'm saying. Don't show up at someones table while they are playing heads up and tell one player to call with any and everything because that player tends to have bad luck. I mean seriously??? What the hell is wrong with you guys to think that is alright to say to someone in the middle of heads up??

And billybob, to answer your question, yes, even if I had won, it would still piss me off. I already said Irish played a great game and it had nothing to do with the outcome. Its about respect for the game and respect for players you weren't even playing against.

In my opinion ~ if an opponent at your table questions you or your play ~ that is one thing.
If an opponents teammate comes to your table and starts giving you crap ~ that is another thing.
I've seen it happen more than once. To me, that is more disrespectful than playing 7-3o and hitting ~ lol.
Trust your teammates and their ability to handle their own table/play.
The ignore button is a great feature ~ I remember when my children were young, telling them to ignore those that bother them ....

i'll admit i did not see the whole convo but stating that a player (any player) has bad luck just doesn't fit my definition of ridiculing someone.

i'm thinking the moral of this story is: you can say what you like if you are playing at the table but you cannot say anything if you are visiting another table.

during the course of play Sunday Ezzz was ridiculed by you (Nicci) and CJ. i know because i watched and actually laughed at some of the comments meant to not only be funny but also to "get him off his game". comments about his Wolf Den, about how he tends to ramble on in chat about topics which you both considered unimportant, some comment about fleas & ticks, etc. the comments worked. he got upset at both of you and said very few words after that. i think within 20-30 mins after that he was out of the tourney. since you were all at the table, and since Ezzz was the target, i'm guessing that is fine in your book.

one other note: the line of the night on Monday was "you can't out play me eeyore." now that was classic!

I only spoke the truth Rob, for me his chatter is annoying and I have him on ignore. I have only heard rumors the den is flea infested, so that would be gossip. I answered because I saw my name mentioned that Ezz doesn't hate you. and I don't. I just had to mute him, because the chatter does throw my game. He isn't the only one I have muted on chat. There was very little chatter at the table I was on tonite, and I finally won a game.

I have all 3 table on my history disk, I can post it, and we can see if Paul was harassing Nicci, or if this was an over reaction, and a "hormonal" thing...

I don't watch all of the tables all of the time.
I don't agree with ridiculing anyone. Personal differences don't belong in game chat.
or .... am I wrong and it's a poker tactic? Head games?
Would you be allowed to do this in a 'live' game?
Is this one of the problems/advantages with playing on-line?

Paul dishes it out every chance he gets. I dish it right back. He can take it and so can I... I do like the guy, and we ridicule each other. Team is very serious play to me, not like a donkfest or Graveyard...There are "unwritten" rules in these Team Games. I think we each have our own...

My 2 cents .. I think ALOT of people here need to get over the thought that "LP" games have different rules than other games ... fact is they do not ... the games are opened to anyone to play and that means u will get people who play in ways u do not like .. u will get people who will say things that u do not like .. u will get people who will act in ways u do not like ... tough shit, get over it ... we are all adults, shit happens, some people are assholes, move on and do what we are all here to do .... play poker

I tend to shut off chat after the first few hands.. or i hit the notes tab so i dont see whats being said, but i can go back and read it later.. keeps me from tilting when others spout off.

JoJo - if you've watched Mike Matusow or Phil Hellmuth on TV then you know that even with the pros there is trash talk. sometimes it gets downright nasty. much, much worse than i've eren seen in our of our private games. so yes it happens in 'live' games. i would not call it a 'tactic' but it does happen and if a player tilts because of it that is probably a bonus to the rest of the table.

i agree with you CJ. i know you & Ezzz have a love/hate relationship. point is, smack talk happens. sometimes it is in fun (like when you & djq went at it a few weeks back) and sometimes it is more serious (like certain players' reactions to going all in on a draw and hitting). what i was trying to explain is that we cannot pick and choose when chat is appropriate. either player chat is accepted or it isn't. i mean it cannot be ok when people make comments to Ezzz like Sunday night but be inappropriate when Ezzz makes comments on Monday night.
