2011 Luvin Poker Player of the Year

Eligible tournaments include Thursday night Broadcast games, Graveyard games, any LP Special Event and Team Play. Points will be awarded based on a player's performance and the amount of the buy-in/entry fee.

Thursday Night Broadcast Games –

Thursday Night Broadcast Games are held weekly and will be grouped by quarter (January to March, April to June, July to September, and October to December). Points per game will be distributed as follows:

First place receives 12 points
Second place, 10 points
Third place, 8 points
Fourth place, 7 points
Fifth place, 6 points
Sixth place, 5 points
Seventh place, 4 points
Eighth place, 3 points
Ninth place, 2 points
10th place +, 1 point

The top 7 scores for each player will be counted regardless of the total number of games held over the three month period. As long as the tournament results are posted in a thread I will track the individual scoring for the Broadcast games.

Place finished by quarter (POTY points per quarter x Multiplying Factors ) -
First place receives 75 points
Second place, 60 points
Third place, 40 points
Fourth place, 35 points
Fifth place, 30 points
Sixth place, 25 points
Seventh place, 20 points
Eighth place, 15 points
Ninth place, 10 points
10th to 18th place, 5 points
19th to 20th place, 3 points
21st + place, 1 point

Graveyard Games –

Graveyard Games are held twice per week and will be grouped by month. Points per game will be distributed as follows:

First place receives 12 points
Second place, 10 points
Third place, 8 points
Fourth place, 7 points
Fifth place, 6 points
Sixth place, 5 points
Seventh place, 4 points
Eighth place, 3 points
Ninth place, 2 points
10th place +, 1 point

Fourth place, 35 points
Fifth place, 30 points
Sixth place, 25 points
Seventh place, 20 points
Eighth place, 15 points
Ninth place, 10 points
10th to 18th place, 5 points
19th to 20th place, 3 points
21st + place, 1 point

LP Heads Up Special Events –

LP Heads Up Special Events are held intermittently over the course of the year. POTY Points per event x Multiplying Factors will be distributed as follows:

First place receives 50 points
Second place, 35 points
3rd and 4th place, 20 points
5th place through 8th place, 10 points
9th place through 16th place, 5 points
All remaining players, 1 point

Multiplying Factors -

Buy-ins + Entry Fees (if applicable)
$0-$10 = Total points x 1
$11-$20 = Total points x 2
$21+ = Total points x 3
Team Play = Total points x2

Any Tournament of Champions (TOC) event does not add points to the Player of the Year standings.

*All Player of the Year candidates MUST be members of the LP Forum and must be "in good standing" (i.e. not banned from the Forum)

Einstein's niece PMed me on Yahoo saying that the 1st post is very confusing to a genius like her so I will try my best to explain:

For both the Broadcast games and Graveyard games players receive points for every game they play.

At the end of this month I totaled up the TOP 6 scores (out of 10 total January games). The player with the TOP SCORE FOR THE MONTH, in this case myself, receives 25 Player of the Year (POTY) points for January's Graveyard Games.

At the end of each quarter (March, June, September, December) I will do the same for the Broadcast games and I will count the TOP 7 scores. The player with the TOP SCORE FOR THE QUARTER receives 75 Player of the Year (POTY) points for Jan-Feb-Mar Broadcast Games.
