2009 Tournament of Champions

I wanted to take this opportunity to officially announce the 2009 Tournament of Champions.

This is a special "by invitation only" Tournament consisting of all 2009 Luvin Poker Champions and Top 20 players in the LP Player of the Year points race.

As of October 2009 here are the list of invitees:

Only the Special Events, Leader Board and Team Play champions are guaranteed invites. Because Player of the Year points are awarded monthly, the Top-20 players could possibly change between now and December 31, 2009.

Also, since the current Team Play season and the December Leader Board does not end until December 30 & 31 2009, the 2009 Tournament of Champions will be held in January 2010 instead of December 2009 as was previously published.

The date of the Tournament of Champions will be Saturday January 23, 2010. If you are currently on the invite list please mark your calendars so there are no scheduling conflicts. The time will be 10 pm EST. The entry fee for this event will be $20. The tournament fee will be $10 + $1. In addition, a percentage (5%) of all Special Event and Team Play entries have been set aside by our treasurer to add additional prizes and money to the pool. Finally, the winner of the event will receive an LP Champions Bracelet and an automatic entry into the 2010 Tournament of Champions.
