They rushed my niece in for surgery again.

My niece called me to tell me that child protective services came and picked up her two children and put them in foster care. She was crying her heart out. All I could do and the best I could give her was a listening ear and tell her I love her.

Hopefully this gets resolved quickly and the children will be well attended to. (((GIGI)))

We put my father in the hospital on Monday. He suffers from late stage dementia. I went back in the next day to check on him and found him asleep from heavily sedation and in restraints. They said they had no choice.

Sorry to hear that, bro. My grandmother died from dementia a few years ago and watching her mind slowly waste away was heartbreaking. (((Eddie)))

A woman who I have studied with over the last couple of years and become close friends with, gave birth on Christmas Eve at 30 weeks. Her son was diagnosed at an early scan with a condition that determined his lungs were very small and chances of survival were small. A balloon was placed in his lungs through an operation to give a better chance of survival.

I found out today that her son died on Christmas day.
