What was the best gift you gave and the best gift you got?


The best gift I gave was the gift of time to a 3hr old. I went to her house and we made gingerbread men and decorated them, it was great fun.

The best gift I got was a 2010 calendar from the same 3yr olds mother with pictures of me with the kids this past year. It was wonderful and made me smile and warmed my heart.

best I gave, other than Evan My boyfriend did not have time to decorate his house for the holiday, or buy any decorations, his 9 yr old son made a comment about it to me, so I took over a tree and decorations, and we decorated and made cookies

Best give I gave was to a 12 yr old girl in our community whose family is very poor. We heard her complain that she didn't have a winter jacket cause her parents couldn't afford one. It is getting really cold here, so I went to the store and bought her a really nice jacket to keep her warm this winter, wrapped it up and had it delivered. I wasn't there to see her open it, but I would have loved to see the expression on her face.

The best gift I got was to spend time with my family.

I received one of the best presents ever on May 23rd (my first daughter's birthday), and an even better one a few weeks later on June 12th (my youngest daughter's birthday). Nothing material was exchanged... but it was a gift to last a lifetime, that's for sure. Thank you, Dianne.
