Do all men cheat?

I have been told by many men that all men cheat, or will cheat sometime in their relationship and/or marriage?

I never believed it. I never in a million years believed that my husband would cheat and when i found out that he did/was I was totally shocked. Then I realized that there were many in the course of our 35 year marriage. It has made me feel like a total dope. Anyway, I was just curious about your take on this subject.

If you remove good ol' emotion from the process and view it as scientific, it's simply mother nature at work. That being said, I've never cheated during any relationship, the desire was there, but I simply never acted on it...the price is always to high emotionally.

awww hon, i think the only men who cheat are the ones that are insecure with themselves and are always searching for something different/better. I think it has to do with a man's character and a man's respect or disrespect for women in general. I actually have heard statistically that women cheat as much, if not more than men. If I was that unhappy in a relationship I would be honest enough to admit it and get out of the relationship.

I understand your question Gary, but actually this thread is named for a reason. I didn't believe that ALL men cheat, however, it is men that have told me differently, so I was just curious about the feeling of the LP men. It isn't a request for sympathy, it is just for information and I thought a good thread topic, so please reply accordingly. Thanks.

I think in most situations, trying to make something absolute (eg. "all" men cheat) is wrong. Ironic isn't it?

Just as ridiculous is trying to put a reason and motive on a behavior engaged in by literally millions in two sentences.

I'm with the "no they all don't" crowd. I think they have a biological drive that works against them in that respect, but I still do not believe that all men cheat. I think it's possible, that the men who say "all men cheat," may very well be projecting their behavior, but of course that certainly shouldn't be considered universal either,,, just a suspicion.
