Chips? Stars? WTF!!!

I am making this thread to fcking RANT!! First of all WAY back I won WELL over 10k stars betting on football. It could of even been 20k or more. It was a damn SHITLOAD of stars I'm telling ya!! Then the site crashed or whatever and I lost EVERYTHING. If wells fargo system crashed I'm ore than sure I would get my damn $. But I accepted the star THEFT as it happened!! I tried to be cool about being given back only around 2k stars or something insignificant compared to what I HAD. Then won more stars and posted and posted and posted for more!! I tried to be smart and put them in some bank account that paid unreal interest!! Now I can't even find that damn account. It seems I have barely anything showing me I was screwed on the interest!! It says I have 2k stars and around 800 chips. How did I even get chips? Why do chips seem to be all I can bet with? I also noticed on my earned star page from posting. I would earn a star for a post. Then it would take the star back right after!! I do NOT play the arcade so shouldn't of been losing ANY stars. YES I'm pissed cuz I don't seem to have shit to bet with in the HU bookie area. I would REALLY like that kiss in the above gift area to KISS some damn CHIPS my way!!

Kyle will have to clarify. I am actually not sure why we added chips. I think it is related to the betting area. If you recall we lost the bookie bar for awhile because the addition was not compatible with our software update and the new currency for the bets are chips. We kept stars because we have so many arcade junkies and so many of you accumulated many over a long period of time. I am not sure why you are losing stars Wabbit, I am sure Kyle will be able to answer that. All of us were given the same amount of chips to start. Other than winning bets, I honestly have no idea how to gain more chips. You can check your chips and stars balance under the "Currency" drop down menu, next to "Quick Links" on the navigation bar at the top of every page. Personally I would like to see the Stars system removed or solely used for the arcade and the chips be the currency earned for posting. I have no idea what is involved, if it is possible or how to make it fair.

And, Ezzz... I am with you! I own this damn place and don't have enough chips. I bet them all on the Oscars and now am waiting to win some chips there so I can bet in the Heads Up event!

We all have a mutual goal - to make LPP fun and competitive. Feel free to rant away, but we are still figuring out the system. It is not that we are unfair or robbed you of stars and chips, we just are feeling our way around. Once we have detailed info, it will be posted in the support area.

I really liked the old system of a single 'star' currency. If we could just recreate that, that would be cool.

Alternatively, I could launch a star/chip exchange rate futures and options product and suck you pikers dry.

I was thinking a exchange for stars to chips would be nice also. Or being able to choose if you get chips or stars for posting would be nice. The arcade is kewl. But I play poker more over hanging in the arcade. So stars really aren't worth shit to me. lol Jen and Kyle also know I was mainly kidding about the being pissed off part of my post. Of course I had to add some fun drama to the situation!! lol I also realize you have a poker site and I understand play chips and stars may not be on the main radar!! lol I'll admit I like to spread stars around in the betting to bet on player friends or whatever. I know it makes me feel good when someone lays a bet on me. So like to do that for others also. I was more frustrated not understanding the difference between stars and chips. Along with noticing every post I gained a star. It would minus the star right after. According to my star and chip history page that has been happening. I couldn't find that savings account I had set up earning unreal interest which added to my frustration. lol

I am bumping this thread still looking for answers to my questions. How does one get chips? For instance str8flush just signed up and does not have any. You get stars for posting. If I lost all my chips how would I get more?

Sorry I didn't reply sooner but was swamped with stuff lately.

There are and will be times when items stop working and we have to replace them with a suitable product, we have no control over this and no control over the results caused by this. Now to your 20 K or more points. The last version of the points program we were using stopped working due to the developers not working on it any more. Short story is both of them have split up and there is a court case started over who owns what. So I had to search for another points program and installed it, but because the old one and the new did not work together all the points that everyone had could not be transferred over. So yes you may have had 20 K in points but they are gone. When the new points was turned on I was able to give everyone stars per the amount of posts they had at that time. This also goes for the bank, its gone and the points you may have had in the bank are gone, yes it sucks but as I said at the start sometimes theres circumstances that we have no control over.

Now because the points had to be replaced the bookie program had to be changed to work with the new points, which it does except I cant get it to work right with the stars. It works somewhat okay by adding a new currency (chips) but I could not get it to take the star amounts. So we went with chips. This was mentioned in a thread in the announcement section. http://luvinpokerplayers.com/forum/s...ad.php?t=26929 At this time its the only way I can find to get our points to work with the bookie program. This may not be a permanent solution but it was working okay so we went this way for now with it.

Now the -1 star you see.

When you create a thread you get 5 starss, create a post 1 star. How ever if you create a thread and then post to it you do not get the 1 star per post as you got 5 star for starting the thread. The old system worked the same way but did not show the star per post being taken away if you started a thread and then posted in it. It just did not give a star for a post if you started the thread original. This new one does and its because it sees that you created a thread and now when you post in the thread you automatically get a star for it and the program takes it away and shows the -1 star. This is just the way it works, you are not actually losing a star, its the stupid way the program was made to work. We have always had the stars this way since the first time we had a points system set up. So it shows that you are losing stars but its because you started a thread. Hope that made sense.

New members who sign up should have got the chips amount and I will see whats up with that, somewhere its not working like it should be.

So you get stars for starting a thread or posting a post..
Chips cant be earned right now, everyone started off with a set amount.
