Un cool news for some MAC users ..

Tonight will be my last LP leader board game. I just got the bad news from the experts at Apple and Adobe.

For some mysterious reason some Apple Machines, don't have the ability to run mirrored sites that rely one or more mirrors.

I've sent bug report to Apple and Adobe and that's their conclusion. They believe that my machine and others jump from one mirror to the other trying to make the fastest connection.

I tested this theory and found using mirrors for downloads results in a 25% download failure.

I have no proplem using downloadable platforms like Pokerstars and Fulltilt with the rare exception like tuesday night where duiring LP game I was disconected in the middle of a hand twice.

Anywho ... I'm gonna miss the LP games but shuch is life on the Internet.

Don't you have a Mac, Jen? I know that you tested the site for a long time making sure it was Mac-friendly.
Why is this a problem for some and not others?

I'm not sure, but it does make sense why some of us had no problem and others can not get a stable connection. I am so sad that we won't be able to cater to some mac users, that was one of my favorite parts. However, I am happy there is an answer now, I have been beating my head against a wall.

Old Mav realizes that the exactly Mac computer is quite different than the usual P C computer it is a real shame that Moab is no not able to operate her Moabs own Mac to be compatible with L P Poker a real shame old Mav had hoped had been looking foreward to playing with Moab again as we did in the old days with play money at least across the street alas the loss of Moab wiould be a terrible thing old Mav hopes things may still happen that may give Moab access butt whutever the case may be Moab u still r a good friend of old Mavs as r all of u who r members of this forum sorry right

Well, I'm out also if using my mac, it's been difficult to to finish a game without getting knocked out on my connection. At least I was testing it playing the big .10 S&G's so it didn't cost much. We have two HP laptops at home, so when I'm there at least I'll be able to play-(hope I can figure out how to use the damn things...lol)

Is there any info on which models/processors are having trouble? When I played today, I was booted repeatedly.

It was pretty frustrating, especially in one hand with about $20 on the table, an ace on the flop, while I was holding AQ.

Suggestion.....You might be able to find an old PC for about $50 on the net or at your local thrift shop just to play.

I tried again yesterday, got booted from a .10 or .20 S&G. Can't bring myself to the point of downloading windows onto my mac bootcamp to play. We're lucky and have two HP laptops in the house, I'll just play on those when I'm home...no more mac flash ass-kicking boots for me...lol

I agree! Private people selling their old PC's are another possibility. I often see them for sale around here for about $100, including computer, monitor, keyboard, mouse, and sometimes a printer as well.
