Anyone interested in in higher buyin games?

I see lots of games that are $5 or less which is cool if you want to start a BR cheap, but I don't see many games that are higher than that. I know there is a $10 rebuy game, but that usually starts to early for me.

I was just wondering if there was interest in $10 freezeout games or even some higher buyins (wouldn't have to be guaruntee), and if it would be possible to have them in the evening?

Share your thoughts.

I would if there were enough players . . . . I don't want to play a $10 game with 12 players in it. Consider setting up a private game with a minimum number of players, and put some promotion into it, could probably get something going. I would certainly be up for it.

I used to play a weekly tournament on another forum that was an $11 game on PS that drew players who have since gone on to fame . . . . it was my close brush with greatness as I tried for a couple of years to win the game, finishing second twice, and finally winning what would be the last time it was run. It was a great game, and something like that could be done here as well.

How about Sundays around mid-day, a weekly private LPP game?? I'd volunteer to help push it along.

I would play .. we actually had the league games at $11 buy-in for awhile but everyone cried it was too high and alot quit playing so we dropped it to $6 and now to $3.50 trying to build the player base again.

Set up any game $30 on down, and I'll play if I can!! Curt, I am curious why you would not want a game with 12 players? Is it because you don't want to start out 6 handed? Just curious? I can understand that being the case with the sites normal blind structure. But if we did a longer structure like Mastro sets up for the Den game, 6 handed wouldn't be all that bad imo.

Mastro sets up the Den games with $2500 starting stack, and increases the blind level times. Those make for great games imo!! Once in awhile someone complains the game takes too long. Far more players seem to like it, than not. Just a idea for a higher buyin game, so it doesn't end up being a allin festival based on luck.

I don't mind a game with only 12 players if the buy-in is low, < $3 typically. If I am going to put down an $11 buy-in, I want the prize pool to be >$300

I want the reward to be higher to risk a bigger chunk of bankroll, right now I'm playing with a small roll. But like I said, a weekly game with some added prestige would interest me.

We would be REALLY hard pressed to find 30 players willing to put up $10 around here imo. The forum has grown so ya never know. I would play it no matter the size of the field, but will admit since one table sngs are what I have played the most over the years, I am generally happier when the player field is smaller. lol Play the Den game with a $5 buyin with the added $100 for a tough game!! We had 17 guys fighting over Alpha male status last month. lol I had posted this in another thread. But for the guy that requested the higher buyins, try the LP evening daily nickel rebuy!! I have saw first pay over $100 with under 15 players.
