Defaulted Loans - Addition to site rules.

This is a really old thread. We have resorted to this twice and in both cases the money was returned. I actually completely agree with you Rachel, however if a member comes to us and needs some assistance, then I see no harm in a simple request. In no way, shape or form is LP accepting or taking responsibility for any loans.

If a member uses this forum to solicit and obtain money then we would like to know if they are being abusive in this process and taking advantage of members. In fact, one of the prior loans involved a gentleman who had borrowed from at least 6 different members in the same evening for the same game. Since this "suggestion/rule" was posted, there have been no more complaints. It serves as more of a precaution than anything.

I think it's a good idea as also is Skidocs, good to have a bunch of heavies to enforce the rules (led by Shay of course)

You can really find out who your friends are by loaning money. You can also find out whos a dink. lol Overall you will come out on the losing end. I know.

I've never loaned money to a friend or family member that I planned on getting back, view it as a gift if any comes back.

That's pretty much my thinking too. Thanks for the reminder John, as I was about to help a friend out, and realize that this could "ruin" things between us.
