A question we have been getting lot of lately is how do you add an image to a post you are creating, hopefully the following post will help answer the question.
There are two main ways to add images to a post, by uploading as an attachment or adding them with a link to the image not stored on our server.
Right now we are discouraging the use of uploading images as attachments mainly because of our site which is on a shared server along with 62 other websites. Attachments tend to build up quickly and can take up a lot of the server space we are allowed to use. So unless you absolutely have to have the image as an attachment I would suggest either to upload the image to our gallery and then link it to the post or store the image somewhere else (like Photobucket) and then link the image in the post you are creating.
So here is how to add a image link to a post.
How To Link Images In A Post:
First you need to get to know the Insert Image button, or some people call it the tree button as it can be hard to see but there is an image of a tree in the button. The image below shows where to find the location of the Insert image button.

When you click on the Insert Image button you will see a link box (shown below), and it has the http:// part of the url showing and highlighted. This is where you enter the image url. Once the image url is added all you have to do is click on Okay.

So as an example I have picked a random image from oure gallery - http://luvinpokerplayers.com/forum/l...lasatnight.jpg (great shot by the way) and I want to place it in this post. When you are looking at a photo in our gallery you will see on the right hand side a small box called Image Code, (shown below) and in this box you will see a url link which is basically the address for the photo. This is the link that you will need to put in the box when you click the Insert Image button.

So now grab and copy the code. If you are using a site like Photobucket they will somewhere have the image link showing, or you can place your mouse on the image you want, right click with your mouse, and select copy link address.
Now that I have the link I want to use, I position the cursor where I want the image to show, click on the insert image button, paste the link in the link box, and then click Okay. If all is right with the world the link will show with an IMG in front of the link and at the end of the link.
