Sigh...old news, just in time for the next election. Florida in 2000 may or may not have been just another in a long line of manipulated elections. It's an old story line that both sides have played forever.

Want a legitimate election??? Start by requiring ID from voters so that people can't vote more than once and non registered, non citizens don't vote at all.

If this film came out in say 2002 I'd say it had some relevance. In 2008 a few months before an election it is simply sensationalism for the sake of ratings. I'll withhold judgment on any political intent until i see the film.

The movie ends appropriately with Tom Petty's
"I Won't Back Down."

Both parties held that ideal as their mantra, but unfortunately
common sense, fair play and a fundamental search for truth
was bulldozed by fierce adversarial stances which; pandered to
basic and, in my opinion, lower instincts.

In the final analysis, it wasn't about a comprehensive investigation
whether a recount was warranted or not. It simply became a war of egos,
oneupmanship and sticktoitness (are there freakin' words?)

The gloves were off and both sides, the country and the world lost.

Not because George W won, but because a noble system was mishandled,
mangled and mistreated to cause all of us living in democracies to take pause.
