LOL you are right you are not the only one,but it's time to move forward stop looking for all the negatives & start hoping for some changes.in three years we can all start the bullshit of righty vs lefty PS I think most American are neither right or left, but right in the middle (moderate republicans or conservative democrats jmho)

You being a recent graduate with a electrical engineering degree. (congrats by the way.)I would think you more so than others would be hoping for a change in the direction our country is going, to open more Job opportunity in alternative energy would be right up your alley. lets just hope that this recession doesn't last for years

    Well, first....thanks

Second, I would love more job opportunities. As of now, just about everyone in my area is on a hiring freeze (except civil service positions which I am actively seeking). Last year positions couldn't fill fast enough. You are loucky now just to have a job. I don't consider what I've done a waste if I can't work immediately. It landed me the job I am currently at, which is keeping my family clothed and fed....so I guess I can't complain too much But I agree in that I hope this does not last for years. I'm aiming for weeks Ok hopefully just a few months.....

bipartisan - code for "fall in line and behave"

where was bipartisanship the last 8 years??

where was it in the drafting of the new $825 billion stimulus plan??

to talk of bipartisanship is one thing, for BOTH sides to actually compromise and work together efficiently is another.

but i agree, true bipartisanship would be wonderful.

Here we go again with the typical rhetoric lets assign blame.

If I'm not mistaken the stimulus plan was passed, so when it fails
both sides are a part of it..

When you want to speak of bipartisanship lets go back 12 years and
57 million spent on a blow job. This isn't a topic on the morality of the
act, but the catalyst the help propel GWB to the White House. I know that under slick Willie I was much better off!

So lets call it a draw. Lets hope that with a new administration we can
start to move forward with some new idea, stop throwing money at financial institutions that are hording it and freezing our economy, start investing in infrastructure alternative energy (nuclear wind photovoltaic hydro) things that will help create job and really stimulate our economy.

actually i was speaking of the draft of the NEW stimulus plan.

where was it in the drafting of the new $825 billion stimulus plan??
true bi-partisanship would have seen them work together drafting the plan with equal input no matter which side holds more seats in congress.

    i mentioned true bi-partisanship too.

but i agree, true bipartisanship would be wonderful.
the dems wrote the new plan and the republicans now have to beg for changes with minorities in both houses of congress.

oh, back to the clinton blowjob...lol...your true colors are showing.

i admit, there has always been partisanship from both sides. my comments about partisanship were forward looking, not backwards.

the reason i made my comment was because of the claims of "post-partisanship" made by Obama, but the obvious lack of true bi-partisanship we have already seen.

everyone talks about change, but change requires actual action - not just words.

    Obama to GOP: 'I won'

    so much for "post-partisanship"

President Obama listened to Republican gripes about his stimulus package during a meeting with congressional leaders Friday morning - but he also left no doubt about who's in charge of these negotiations. \"I won,\" Obama noted matter-of-factly, according to sources familiar with the conversation.

The exchange arose as top House and Senate Republicans expressed concern to the president about the amount of spending in the package. They also raised red flags about a refundable tax credit that returns money to those who don’t pay income taxes, the sources said.

The Republicans stressed that they want to include more middle class tax cuts in the package, citing their proposal to cut the two lowest tax rates — 15 percent and 10 percent — to ten percent and five percent, rather than issue the refundable credit Obama wants.
vintage obama... always willing to hear the other side out, never willing to actually vote with them

Yes, THAT is a change....but not necessarily a change for the better.
