I find it somewhat sad that we, as Americans, expect our citizens to get into fights and get arrested.

I don't really think a "congrats" is in order for this. Maybe just a.....".well, duh". People were there to celebrate, not fight. So, pat yourself on the back all you want. This seems like a no-brainer to me.

I post a "positive" thread, and people have to twist it and spin it to try and knock it down. Unreal.

As you know very well. It's nearly imposible for even a small crowd of people to get together without some kind of altercation. For nearly 2 million people to gather in the same area without incident is a major tribute to the spirit of the event.
