And you wonder why murderers walk free?

Texas has executed a Mexican-born man after the US supreme court and the state's governor, Rick Perry, spurned appeals from Barack Obama to spare the convicted murderer's life in order to protect US interests abroad.
After his arrest, the Texas police failed to tell Leal, who was born in Mexico but has lived in the US since the age of two, that under the Vienna convention he was entitled to contact the Mexican consulate.
US diplomats, top judges, senior military officers, the United Nations and former president George W Bush also appealed for Leal's execution to be halted on the grounds it could jeopardise American citizens arrested abroad as well as US diplomatic interests.

    Hmmmmm.......

He kidnapped, raped, and murdered a 16 year old girl. He was convicted, and got the needle.

Just because he was born in Mexico and lived in the US since he was two, what the fuck difference does it make whether he was allowed to contact the Mexican embassy. He had no diplomatic status.

Maybe if he had been legalized due to the DREAM Act Obama wouldn't have thrown a shit fit about executing him.

It wasn't just Obama that was against it.

However, I wouldn't expect anything less from that two faced mother fucker that Texas calls governor. Leave it to a "PRO-LIFE" Christian to order the murder of another human being, just to show spite to the President, and prove to the other mouth breathing gun toters that he's in charge. If I were a "Christian Consevative" I would seriously consider starting a prayer chain, asking for Rick Perry to be "struck down".

Frank I deliberately put in another quote re: Bush. It wasn't just Obama it was the Establishment(America) asked him, the point I was trying to make was that the reaon they(America led by Obama) asked that 'It was in America's interest' so you forgive a kidnapping raping murdered because it's in America's interest? Where do you draw the line at this sort of thinking?

Humberto Leal was sentenced to lethal injection for the 1994 rape-slaying of 16-year-old Adria Sauceda, whose brutalized nude body was found hours after Leal left a San Antonio street party with her. The girl's head was bashed with a 30- to 40-pound chunk of asphalt. There was evidence Sauceda had been bitten, strangled and raped. A large stick that had a screw protruding from it was left in her body.

A witness testified that Leal's brother appeared at the party, agitated that Leal had arrived home bloody and saying he had killed a girl.

Sauceda's mother, Rachel Terry, told San Antonio television station KSAT her family already had suffered too long.
"A technicality doesn't give anyone a right to come to this country and rape, torture and murder anyone," she said.
Sorry Frank, you lose a few rights when you murder someone. The victim sure lost all of hers.
what matters most in life is honesty. it's never wrong to do the right thing.
