What Do Christians Think of Glenn Beck Now?

Christians Urged to Boycott Glenn Beck - The Caucus Blog - NYTimes.com

The controversy began when Mr. Beck said on his radio show: “I beg you, look for the words ’social justice’ or ‘economic justice’ on your church Web site. If you find it, run as fast as you can. Social justice and economic justice, they are code words.

“Am I advising people to leave their church? Yes! If I am going to Jeremiah Wright’s church,” he said, referring to the incendiary black pastor who led the church attended by the Obama family members when they lived in Chicago. “If you have a priest that is pushing social justice, go find another parish. Go alert your bishop and tell them, ‘Excuse me, are you down with this whole social justice thing?’ ”
Mr. Beck, in vilifying churches that promote “social justice,” managed to insult just about every mainline Protestant, Roman Catholic, African-American, Hispanic and Asian congregation in the country — not to mention plenty of evangelical ones.

Even Mormon scholars in Mr. Beck’s own church, the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, said in interviews that Mr. Beck seemed ignorant of just how central social justice teaching was to Mormonism.

I'm a Mormon and can tell you that the church was first and foremost before the recent conservative revolution, know as a very social religion.

They own welfare stores, had welfare co-ops called ... Deseret Industries.

Beck is nothing but a money grubbing asshole who preys on the religious suckers and the ignorant.

I thought Beck was nothing more than a watery tart before. Now I think he's just a moistened bink.

How do you figure? I merely asked people for their opinion.

If that's what you really think, then I think you need to stop watching Glenn Beck. His crazy ass conspiracy theories are starting to rub off on you.

Yes I am .. Or was. My parents were both deep in the faith. They were married in the inner Temple in SLC. Today both of my parents are with the Heavenly Father and married Heaven.

As for me I'm excommunicated from the Church of Jesus Christ Latter-Day Saints. Because of my opposition to blindly follow and obey the faith.

Now that you know I was found guilty of not being dogmatic like Nic. A highly intelligent woman who can do complex 'C+' programming yet believe that the earth was only 4000 years old when Christ was murdered and 2000 years old after Moses lead the not yet Jews out of Egypt, just 1000 years after the great flood. Give or take a few months.

This is a woman who dare sit in judgment of me with her pompous. "
I don't find that hard to believe at this point..." Her comment is fitting for the religious but religious intolerant ignorant type like her and Glen Beck. Though I don’t think Beck can do C+ programming.
