Is ANYONE else NOT living in the U.K. getting as sick as I am about all the hype about the Royal Wedding?

I don't care who got invited and who didn't; I don't want to know what she's going to wear; I don't want to know the flavor or size of the wedding cake; and I could care less whether or not the Queen got a hymen check done on the bride to be. (Although if anyone has any pictures of said exam please forward them to me for academic reasons of course)

If I see one more panting woman, dabbing a tear from her eye, while telling us how romantic it is for Kate to marry her Prince, I may puke. The worst part is, these are U.S. women on par with Snooki. Fake tan, fake tits, fake teeth, and with no recollection of what her real hair color is. (And no she can't check the carpet because those hardwood floors have been waxed to oblivion)

I understand that for the British that this is a really big deal. I'm not saying that THEY shouldn't enjoy and even indulge in the hype orgy. But like soccer, cricket, and bad dental hygiene, it should stay on THAT side of the pond.

I didn't even recall it was so soon until I saw this thread. So, no, I am not planning my schedule around it. Am I looking forward to it? Sure. I think the royals are fascinating. Do I care about the cake or the guests? No. Do I care about the dress? Yea! I was 9 years old when Princess Di married Charles and I remember staring in awe at the fairy tale. I was a fan of Princess Di and I think her life ended tragically. It is a shame she isn't here to witness this. I also think William has a ton more class that his dad. Kate is lovely. (I'm sure her train won't be 25 feet long!)

There are some going a bit overboard. My People magazine is selling crowns for wedding parties to wear while watching.

A lot of Brits are sick of hearing about it too. I walked in to the shop today and right near the entrance, on display are memorabilia items shoved in your faces and disgustingly, the pieces look like pieces from the 50's.

I understand that for the British that this is a really big deal.

Princess Zara Phillips is getting married in the summer this year, then there will be Harry, after that we will no doubt be waiting for Princess Eugine and Princess Beatrice's weddings, followed by the youngest of the Queen's grandchildren, Lady Louise and Viscount Severn ( though I imagine they are a few years off yet )...

I'm sure there will be huge celebrations in 2015 when the Queen becomes the longest reigning British monarch. It's never ending!

I like Kate. I think she is pretty and down to Earth. She has wanted to marry William since she was a child and is a woman who wanted something, went after it and is about to become the future Queen of England. I just hope William becomes King rather than Charles which is very likely and I think they will be very in touch with the people because of how Diana raised him.

For those who hate Diana, she wasn't "perfect".... no one is but the woman did a lot of good. Want to attack me for that statement, go ahead.... says a lot more about you than her!
