Just found guilty of involuntary manslaughter
This is a discussion on Jackson's Doctor within the News & Current Events forums, part of the Current Happenings category; Just found guilty of involuntary manslaughter...
I was coming in here to post the same thing :P
Good. I don't see how he could be found not guilty with how much he lied throughout. I hope the family can now move on and MJ can rest in peace.
Like Elvis, he wanted drugs and the Dr gave them. Sad in both cases.
involuntary manslaughter, ...isn't that the lessor of all murder charges availble??
I didn't watch, but whoever brought hospital anesthetics into his home should get 10 yrs for that on top of any murder charges

Oh,i read a story about it...after I posted--lol... all makes sense now
I haven't read about the case, all I know is in the UK a health professional has to act in the interests of the patient, which doesn't mean giving the patient meds cos he wants them. This can mean refusing to prescribe meds if the patient is not adhering to the regime (dosage and frequency).
Way I read it- he couldn't wait to sedate him so he could go party with all the money he was being paid $150,000 a month
TelegraphHowever, Murray's case was methodically demolished by the star prosecution witness, anaesthesiologist Dr Steven Shafer, who wrote the guidelines that accompany vials of propofol.
He accused Murray of operating in a "pharmacological never-never land" without the right safety equipment and committing a total of 17 "egregious" violations of the standard of care, any one of which could have led to a "catastrophic outcome." That included a lack of heart monitoring apparatus.
According to Dr Shafer the high levels of propofol in Jackson's system were consistent with Murray using an IV drip to administer the drug. He said the idea that Jackson woke up and injected himself with the lethal dose was a "crazy scenario."
Mr Walgren told the court: "Michael Jackson literally put his life in the hands of Conrad Murray. That misplaced trust cost Michael Jackson his life. He died alone in his bed.
"Conrad Murray left this vulnerable man, abandoned him, to fend for himself. It violates not only standard of care, but decency from one human being to another.”
