So before the debt went out of control what was Reagan willing to destroy the world for? And BTW it's only been democrat presidents that have manage to increase growth and pay down the debt .. Nixon in order to pay down the Vietnam war debt raised taxes then froze wages nationwide. Carter who inherited the Nixon war debt had to cope with high interest from the debt due from Vietnam. High oil prices thanks to OPEC .. he created the National Oil Reserve, weatherize and solar project with tax payer dollars and started paying down the debt. We all know about Reagan raising taxes .. the largest in the USof A history and still nearly bankrupt the country in bankrupting the Soviet Union and thus creating a new cold and more nefarious war. And he never invested one thong towards paying down the debt.. Bush and his larger than Reagan debt and war in Iraq .. Clinton getting laid cuts taxes and pays down the debt ... Bush II spends Clinton,s budget surplus raises taxes starts two wars and never did anything but bankrupt this nation and now we learn that the Russia has come back after shedding it's parasite countries a mean and lean war machine with more very little debt as compared to America ...

I do so I support Obama knowing he's gotta do his best like Clinton to clean up the mess your republican supporters made electing some of the most inept republicans who openly state they would rather this president fail and destroy America doing so .. I didn't attack Reagan, I attacked all of the Republican presidents, on their economic, which have lead us to todays current events. So I believe "I won" because you only said Reagan.

maybe if you ever acknowledge when someone has a point you would come across as being fair and open minded. i don't see anything but attack, attack, insult, attack, insult. the insults get passed off as humor, when the attacks are proven wrong they simply get ignored and a new attack is begun.
neither the left or the right has all the answers. neither is always wrong. both sides make mistakes. what really bugs the crap out of me are the attitudes of some people. our president has an attitude (bush did too but not like this) the "we won, get used to it" type of remarks do not in any way serve anything but his own ego. and just an fyi, there are plenty on the right who have the same sort of attitude. it's just that in this forum and elsewhere, the attitude of the left is defended while the attitude of the right gets labeled racist or worse.

So according to you and your "views", Carter and Billy had nothing to do with the state of the economic downturn...WOW! Please defend the two bills Billy boy signed allowing Wall Street to run rampant and letting people buy houses that should have for all practical purposes stayed renters until they could REALLY afford the McMansion they now want the tax payer to bail them out of.
You really that stupid .. Everyone in the world but you know that after Clinton left office the Bush administration thru EX orders, signing statements and bills passed thru a rubber stamp congress watered down the good works that came from the Clinton Administration.
Clinton passed a bill making it easier to obtain a mortgage for first time buyers ... Bush squashed regulators in all sectors evident when we had runaway oil prices. The housing bubble burst because of greed caused inflation in the housing market 10 years after the Clinton signature.
Carter inherited the Vietnam war debt and at the same time the world oil embargo. Carter saw the situation may cause the USofA's military not to be ready for war due to the shortage of oil and created the National Oil reserve used recently to drop the rampant oil prices from Cheneys greedy oil friends. Carter also ask the country to all share in conserving energy and created a national weatherizeation program he then passed legislation that allowed the trucking industry to deregulate and lower the cost of consumer goods due to high freight cost through monopoly freight routes. The first thing Big oil Reagan did was undo most all of Carters energy conservation programs and energy independence.
