no lucas, you most often insult first. for example, where have i insulted you?? i've expressed displeasure with your comments and disagreed with your statements, but if you find an insult you must be reading things into comments AND be very thin skinned. you can't seem to construct a sentence without insulting or demeaning someone or a particular group. that you fail to see this and are unable to control your reactions would seem to be a reflection of your character.
as for constantly saying that people miss your point, well that might be true if you ever had one. (other than your oft repeated point that others are morons, simplistic, idiotic, etc.)
trying to compare canada to the southern u.s. border states regarding immigration issues would seem to indicate that it is you who is missing the point.
you can't even bring yourself to admit that you beloved obama is no different in the corrupt ways he goes about enacting policy than past presidents who you love to attack for their ties to big business interests. obviously you prefer the unaffordable policies of the current administartion over those of past administrations, but until you can see and admit that your guy is as beholden to interest groups as any other past president your level of credibility will hover around zero.
you have really gone out on a limb stating that we would be better off if our leaders didn't lie to us and engage in unnecessary wars. fucking brilliant. yet you ignore the endless lies obama tells, even the ones about ending those wars started by GWB. i'll give obama credit for realizing that things are not as simplistic as they seem from the outside and that quick withdrawl was not the way to go. i just wonder why you are not either highly critical of him sending more troops to afghanistan or understanding that sometimes doing what is necessary is not always pleasant.
as an aside, did you know that regime change in iraq was on the table as far back as the clinton administration?? maybe if he had the balls to do it then we could have avoided alot of messy conflict later on. we can go back and forth all day about the need to invade iraq, but GWB didn't just pull the idea out of thin air. of course that does not mean that he was right to invade iraq as he did or that the war was well planned, but it does lend a bit of context to what transpired.
