Boy I don't know if PJ knows what he's getting into out here. I guess he'll be missing ost of the snow now int the midwest, but it is still gonna be chilly. I was out running electricity to the chicken coop today so that they don't freeze on us. All this effort for those birds, they better be damn good eggs I tell ya. So I go outside to close up the chicken coop tonight and what do I hear?? A coyote or sumthin' howlin' away. Sophie takes off runnin', she's the remaining poodle. I'm thinkin; in my head, great a dog fight in the middle of the meadow and me no flashlight. I run in the garage get the flashlight and start begging Sophie back to the house. The whole time this coyote is screaming at us. It literally sounded like it was out by the fire pit, about 250' from the backdoor. Anyway, I'm yellin at the dog ...
Today is Wed, and I took the day off to go deep sea fishing with a friend. It is now pouring outside and we decided two days ago to delay the trip until early Sept. Oh well, I guess I'll sit around and screw off all day. Maybe if it lets up later I can go hit a river later. Hope you have sun where you are.
Today is Sunday, a somewhat sad day here on the hill. We had to put our puppy down yesterday. She had been suffering from lyme disease, and because of that kidney failure. Holly wasn't even a year old yet. We will all miss her, but I think mostly will be Sophie our other dog. We love you Holly and we will miss you. Attachment 17DSC00011.JPG
So check this out.We had a tornado, EF2 they called it. I guess that's like 115mph winds or so. Thats crazy, we get Nor'easter not tornado's. Well they were well south of my home but not too far from my work. We had some power surges or brown outs I guess, but never lost power. We are a little wet but all are fine. C'ya!
