An Attempt At woodwork..

I've never worked much with wood.. Ive done a little drywall, and a bit of framing, but never really was too interested in wood. 1 night, while talking to a friend...( thank you friend ) a conversation about me finally getting around to building a workbench in my garage, took a turn to what other projects i should try. after a bit of contemplating, we decided I would build a small tray table.and maybe a patio set.. So the tray table was first..
I showed the table off, and when talking to another friend( thank you other friend.. ) about it, She said She needed a new patio set.. soooo... i had my first patio set project.. but first, i had to build my bench...
The Making of the bench
And... the finished bench...
so after the bench, and before the patio set, i was asked to make a small shelf.. simple, but cool.
then on to the Patio furniture.. which turned out to be a bit more labor intense than i expected.. I learned quickly, a rough cut wood takes a whole heap of sanding, which took the most time..
Here is the unfinished chairs..
and the the set.. which was finished, tonight... clearcoated, and ready to go!
soo... whats next?? I think maybe a bedroom set... complete... headboard, dresser, and 2 nightstands... or maybe just more patio furniture... who knows...
