  1. Winter hits DC area... HARD!

    by , 12-22-2009 at 06:04 PM
Most of you know, I live in the Washington DC area. Snow days over the last few years have been, well, almost non-existent. Our area gets mostly rain or sleet. Don't know why, I am not a meteorologist. The only thing I know is NEVER trust the Weatherman, or Weather Channel, when it comes to predicting the weather. There is only one true source for predicting snowfall in the DC area:

    Bob Ryan.

Bob Ryan is the chief meteorologist for WRC-TV, the NBC affiliate here ...

  2. Tavern Poker

    by , 05-30-2008 at 03:00 AM
As everyone has seen, Tavern Poker is getting to be a big thing in the US. Since live events are usually frowned upon because "gaming" is still illegal in most of the U.S., so Tavern Poker (Stars and Bars, etc) was born like a Phoenix rising from the ashes. 4. Technical Theater: Nightmare near Elm Street

    by , 05-10-2008 at 04:18 AM
So, as most of you know, I am involved in the theater, and last night, we were hanging lights for Agnes of God, the upcoming show in our season. I love technical theater, don't get me wrong. But I missed the damn Graveyard game because I didn't get in until about 1:30.

It's 7:00 now, and I have been up for an hour, have to go back to the theater and hang more lights. That process is laborious, at best.

    But I love it.

  5. When Play Chips Become Something More.

    by , 05-08-2008 at 08:42 AM
When I started playing online poker, it was all for fun. I had no cash to gamble with, so I started amassing play chips, just as an ego boost.

When I had the ability to actually deposit some money, I was very careful, but refining my online game. Starting at the $300, I would play in these games during lunch, just using the Pokah! forum to chit chat.

When Congress shoved their noses into our business and disallowed deposits from the US into Poker sites, I just started ...
