Since the game was canceled last week, a few regulars were on edge as the night started as they missed out on an opportunity to score points near the end of the jackpot season; 3 more weeks and the top 3 points get somewhere between $800 and $400, depending on the total kitty.

The night started off slow for me, but the drinking was going at a pretty fast pace. I noticed my half-gallon of Maker's is almost gone. It may last until Christmas, we'll see.

My cards are absolute shit for the first 2 hours; I don't even bother playing any hands except to steal a few blinds here and there. Only 12 players, so we're at 1 table pretty quick. I'm about 8th or 9th in chips with 8 people left. I get pocket jacks, raise the 60 chip BB to 175, get a caller, a re-raiser, then an all in before back to me. I consider saying fuck it and pushing, but decide I'm too disciplined for that and fold. Caller folds as well and re-raiser calls with AK going against QQ. River is a K and down to 7.

Blinds at 50/100, first to act raises to 500, I don't even notice because I'm drunk, and push all in with AK. He calls with 88, first card out is an A and I double up! He questions my decision and I attempt to put him on tilt by letting him know that I don't even weigh his betting into my decision. He's a good player, though, but still I got to him a little. lol

Down to 5! Short stack pushes in front of me, I call with A8, he was bluffing with 24, I hold up and we're down to 4. Last 2 games I went out 5th, so I'm pumped now.

Down to 3 after an AK beats an A5. Now we're in the money.

I get pocket tens, raise to 3xbb, BB goes all in and I call; he shows AJ and turns a J. Damn.

Very next hand I get A7 suited, call, then BB goes all in, I decide it's time and call. He sheepishly shows 10J and I spike another ace. Down to heads up!

I get 55, push, up against 66 he boats on the turn. Damn.

69 of diamonds a couple hands later, 2 diamonds on the flop, I bet, he calls, 3rd diamond turns, I go all in and he calls with a smaller flush. YES!

Last hand, I have K8 diamonds, he goes all in with 33, not only do I flop a flush, but the king hits on the turn. LOLOLOLOLOL. Big winner!

So I'm at 27 points, leader has 60, then 38 and 37 and 34. I need some good showings to get some extra money. Stay tuned...
