Yesterday was our last tournament at The Rio. In a very generous gesture RC decided to stake me in the 1 pm $200 Deepstack. Yesterday’s field was the largest to date with RC, Frenchy and myself competing against 717 other players for a top prize of $24k. WSOP Blog #6

Another big day for LP & friends here in Vegas. All of the WSOP players plus Jen & Lin went out to the Sahara last night for a little poker fun. In the 9 pm tournament both Dad and Frenchy finished in the top-3 and chopped the prize fund for $840 each. I continue to donate on poker but I’m beating the blackjack tables almost dollar for dollar and covering most of my entry fees.

What a ride it’s been. I know Rick was very disappointed yesterday after busting out before the dinner break. He is one of the nicest guys I’ve met and you really feel bad when something shitty happens to a guy like him. WSOP Blog #3 WSOP Tourney Day 1 Sunday

Tournament Structure:

Players begin with 3,000 in Tournament Chips. All levels will last 60 minutes. Breaks will occur after every two levels and last 20 minutes. Dinner break on Day 1 will be after the completion of level 6 and last 90 minutes. Day 2 - play will resume at 2:30 pm. The field will be combined and play 10 levels.
