For comparison I am going to repeat my professional record here:

Age: 36. Overall Record: 38 wins, 5 losses, 2 draws.

26 wins, 0 losses, 0 draws (against women).
12 wins, 5 losses, 2 draws (against men).

I am 5'11" tall and weighed 168 pounds in my last match. By contract, I must weigh in at over 175 pounds for my next 3 matches. I was 172 this morning.

I have been working on a way for my mom to post updates on the site while the matches are in progress. One of my assistant trainers has agreed to send her live updates by e-mail from his laptop so she can post the e-mails on the site from her home. Might be neat and might be a bust. We will see how that goes in the first match...if there seems to be any interest in that sort of thing.

With you at 175 I can understand the matches against Denise and Florence...I am having a tough time wrapping my head around the possible rationale for a match against Martine and a 60 pound weight differential. GL and I will be thinking about you on those three Saturdays next month.

The rationale for match #3:

1. In women's submission wrestling, the club rules state that anyone over 175 pounds is a heavyweight. So 235 pounds is acceptable, as long as I weigh over 175 pounds.

2. I will be paid more to wrestle that woman than the other 2 matches combined...and the other 2 matches are paying quite well. In fact, the 3rd will be a personal career high for me.

3. By negotiated contract, without agreeing to the 3rd match, we would lose the 1st 2 as well.

No doubt, I will be considered the underdog in match 3.

Shay, may we know the venues for your next three matches in Canada? Not sure if any of us can be there as fans, but knowing where you will be may make it easier for us to follow your progress. Thanks in advance.

Also, my mom is going to do updates in a thread on the site, from e-mails she will be receiving from the match site by one of my assistant trainers on his laptop...at least for the first match. We will see how that one goes.

Oh...for those of you who don't know, Luvin' Poker Players member, gat, is my mother.

Having gat relay the matches is a stroke of genius! I'm looking forward to them!

Update: I was 175 pounds this morning. My goal for my August 7th match with Denise is 180 pounds, plus or minus 3 pounds. At 175 pounds I have lost no speed from 168 pounds, but am a little stronger. My balance seems a little off right now and I am working on that. The wrestling partner I am using right now is a man, 5'10" tall, and he weighs about 200 pounds. Denise is 5'9" tall and is expected to weigh about 180 pounds for our match.

By the way, my manager told me there is some minor underground betting going on in this upcoming match. I am evidently a 5-1 betting favorite over Denise. (He said he can't believe anyone is betting on Denise, unless it is friends or family members.) Denise has a loss to Leliane Ketty on her record. Leliane is the woman I just defeated in my last match. Denise has also lost to Florence Carpentier, my next opponent, who (if I remember correctly) also has a loss to Leliane Ketty on her record.

Has anyone heard any news about what happened in Shay's Aug 7 match? She has another today and I guess maybe we won't know any results until after the third match on Aug 21.
