I thought some of you might enjoy reading about this...so here goes...

I had to bulk up to over 160 pounds, from my normal high 140's, by terms of contract, for my latest real submission wrestling match. My opponent, Leliane Ketty, had to weigh in at 175 pounds or less, from her normal high 180's. It was a very important match for me because, with a win, it could open some interesting doors for me in the Canadian Wrestling scene.

Shay Anderson Wins 37 Losses 5 Draws 2 Age 36 5 feet 11 inches 40"D- 27" 39" 168 pounds.

Leli got up in Shays face once. Shay didnt like it. Leli pushed at her and Shay pushed back hard. It was obvious to me that Shay and Leli genuinely didnt like each other right then and there. Leli looked bigger but Shay looked in much better shape to me. Leli looked soft around the middle. Leli sucked her gut in when June did the measuring. Leli looked old. I thought before and I was even more sure then that Shay was going to beat her.

During the instructions the girls stared at each other. I thought for a minute they were going to go at each others throats right then and there. Shay was in black two piece. Leli was in red two piece.

They rushed at each other. They locked up. Shay threw Leli into the fence. Shay grabbed Leli and tried for a takedown near the fence. Leli blocked. Shay pushed Leli hard into the fence. Leli punched Shay in the face. Bout was stopped by Gibbs.

Leli was warned for punching. Both were ordered to the corners.

They started again from the corners. Shay rushed at Leli. Leli circled away. Shay was pressing the action and trying to lock up. Leli suddenly went for a low takedown. Shay avoided. Shay went for the takedown. Leli blocked. They locked up. Shay pushed Leli back against the fence again. Shay grabbed her and was trying to power Leli down. Leli pulled away. Shay rushed at Leli. Leli punched her in the face again. Shays nose was bloody. Bout was again stopped by Gibbs.

Leli was given second warning for punching. Both were again ordered to the corners. Shay had 5 minutes to recover from the bloody nose. Shays trainer James applied pressure to the nose and cleaned her up. Shay took about 3 minutes to recover.

They started again from the corners. Shay rushed in. Leli backed off. I think both knew at that point that Shay was faster and stronger than Leli. Shay took Leli down. Leli applied the guard. They stayed that way for many minutes with nobody getting any real advantage. Leli tried to punch Shay in the face again. I thought she missed. Finally Shay pulled back hard and stood Leli on her head and then moved back down and punched Leli in the face twice. Shay looked angry. Bout was once again stopped by Gibbs. I thought for a second Shay wasnt going to cooperate with Gibbs but she did.

Shay was warned for punching. Both were yet again ordered to the corners. Gibbs visited both corners and said he would stop the bout permanently if there were any more fouls from either side. I saw a trickle of blood coming from Shays nose again. I wasnt sure if it was from a new punch or not. Shay wiped it off with her hand. Lelis cheek looked swollen and her eye was red.

They started once again from the corners. They rushed at each other. Both looked angry at that point. They locked up. Again Shay pushed Leli to the fence. Leli tried to choke Shay but Shay powered her arms off her neck. Gibbs looked like he was about to break them but he backed off at the last second. It looked like Leli tried to bite Shays nose. Then Leli slid to the side. Leli took Shay down. It looked like Shay partly slipped down. No guard was applied by Shay. Instead Shay powered Leli over and grabbed her leg and then threw Leli around like a ragdoll. Then Shay grabbed and rolled and went for a leglock. Shay had the kneebar set up. Leli was trying to defend. Shay overpowered her. Shay twisted Lelis foot forward. Leli was in serious trouble. Leli was trying to do the right things but Shay was simply too strong and too fast for her. Shay straightened Lelis leg for the kneebar submission hold. Shay locked it in. Leli tapped out. Shay released. Shay won.

Leli was limping and screaming something at Gibbs. She was almost incoherent. Leli made another move at Shay and then stopped when Shay glared at her and said something. Both exchanged harsh words as they were leaving the cage. Gibbs said the match was over. He said Shay won in 17 minutes with a kneebar. Thats about as angry as Ive ever seen Shay before. Leli looked red faced and extremely angry. There was a lot of bad blood in this match. Everybody looked angry including Gibbs. The spectators were very noisy even after the match was over. Everybody seemed pumped up by what theyd just witnessed. That match really lit the place up.

I think Lelis comeback is over or it should be. Charles said as soon as her leg feels better Leli wants a rematch with Shay. Right. I doubt if Leli and Charles will ever come within a thousand miles of Shay again.

I wasn't really that angry with Leliane. My manager gets excited about my matches sometimes.
