Well, once again, it's been a while since I've blogged. (Or since I've done anything else around here!) I've been busy, as I'm sure you can imagine being a single mom, working full time, and going to school.

A few cool things have been going on:

1. I got my first child support payment yesterday. Woot! Without having the courts involved, too, so that's always nice. Being on amicable terms is a good thing.

2. My little one is standing on his own now (and ...

I feel so wonderful today. I have gotten so many things taken care of that I feel like this HUGE weight has been lifted off of my shoulders.

The car is fixed. (We're not in the humpty anymore! WOot!) The radiator (and radiator CAP! Which we didn't find out was bad until we were stuck on the side of the road a couple of times.) was replaced about 2 weeks ago (big thanks to my sister and ...

So, I'm sure most of you know my oldest son was hospitalized for a terrible infection that turned out to be MRSA (which is a tough strain of staph). It turned out to be more painful then anything else because we were lucky enough to have caught it early.

Naturally, this stay wasn't as pleasant as the last stay with my youngest because this one could actually get up and move. And pull out IV's, ...

So, I met with the potential babysitter today. I was pretty pleased. Of course, not 100% pleased, but pretty pleased none the less.

She seemed pretty cool.. has a nice big place, a lot of toys, a fenced in yard, a couple of dogs, a couple of other kids, and a really stellar attitude.

It seemed like it would be laid back enough that my kids will have their basic needs met and perhaps even socialize and toughen up a bit. (I'm a bit of a spoiler.. I baby the crap out ...

Since I just made my commitment to bigger and better blogs, I think I have a little catching up to do.

During my little hiatus a couple of weeks ago a couple of things were going on..
(Oh yes.. I'm going to get into detail.)

1. I had a baby. (Duh, Lacie! You blogged about that.) Well, it's not like I just had him and that was it. Someone has to take care of the little thing.
