I promised a rock star queen friend of mine. That I would make a blog. I'm a man of my word. So here we go. Most of you know of my rocky past. A past im not proud of in the least. I find myself thinking of my past far too often. Thinking of ALL the stupid mistakes ive made. Moving forward is something im working on. So my past will NEVER be apart of these blogs. Only the present and future. I have custody of my daughter. Shes home from school sick today. I hated keeping her home. She just recently missed alot of school. Due to enlarged adenoids. She had them removed. Her first surgery ever. It worked out great and shes been pretty healthy ever since. She wouldnt eat breakfast or lunch yet today. So im sort of worried about that. Ive never seen her not want to eat before. So keeping a eye on that.

Ive had her since she was 4mo old. Its a long story. But her mom has nothing much to do with her. We haven't heard from her in over a year. I feel really bad for her. But theres not much I can really do about that. I realize she needs a woman in her life. So try to fill that void with my mom and my sister. She just had her conferences. Mary's in all day kindergarten. Shes already learning to read. When i was in kindergarten. I believe all we did was mainly play! Shes doing really well. Mary use to be really shy and wouldnt talk much. Unless she got to know ya. The teacher was having a hard time evaluating her. I had a talk with her about it. Our talk seemed to have really helped. When I went to conferences. Her teacher said shes really opened up. That made me pretty happy.

We live in MN and im ready for spring to get here. I like to take my yellow lab to the lake and work on his hunting and retrieving skills. That I taught him. I also like working with Mary on her T-ball game. Ive been training her since really young. Then hopefully someday. She will play fast pitch softball. She seems to really like ball. Today im grateful for all the friends ive made at lp. You know who you are.

Ez sometimes its best to leave the past dead and buried.....I hear ya! The main thing is you have a beautiful little girl to treasure and to love, and who I'm sure loves you heaps right back! I've had a bit of a rocky one myself. Being from a fairly strict Italian upbringing, and a catholic school girl all my life....10 years of it, its no surprise that once I turned 18 I moved out of home, much to the disgust of my family and relatives. Moved out with my first boyfriend, and two years later my beautiful daughter Alicia was born. Well! I really was the blacksheep of the family once that happened, but one person in my life stayed true to me and that was my mother. The rest of my relatives shunned me, and spoke about me behind my back, and if my mother heard any of it, she tore strips off them.

When I broke up with my daughter's dad, she was there; when I found myself in an abusive relationship, she was there; when I found myself embroiled and unwittingly recruited into my then boss's organised Family business dealings, which I might add made the Sopranos look like the Brady Bunch, and subsequent court proceedings....she was there. Then I met a nice guy, got married and had my son Tim.....12yrs later - divorce caused by the "Family" court cases. Which brings me to the now....11 years with my current partner and a nice mellow middle class suburban lifestyle, that I thank my fairy godmother I lived to experience. To see my kids grow up - 27 and 19 now - and two beautiful grandkids, 9 and 5 is the most satisfying experience of my life. And to think, I almost didn't make it.

We all have a past Ez, and like they say.....If it don't kill u, it can only make you stronger
